What are the main components of FLEXSPACE Mobile Racks?
There are four main components of the Mobile Racking System: floor rails; powered wheelbases; a conventional single-select rack structure; and the control system. A pre-determined number of mobile bases will share a moving access aisle.
How does the FLEXSPACE Mobile Racking System work?
Unique rails are laid in the warehouse floor, either when the warehouse is built or as a retrofit. Electronically powered bases are fitted onto the rails which support the back-to-back fixed single-select racking. The mobile bases move either at the touch of a button or remote control. Each base can carry a maximum of 360 tons.
What safety features are included with the FLEXSPACE Mobile Racking System?
Safety systems include multiple levels of sensors, breaking motors, and photo beams. In addition, each system is equipped with emergency stop buttons and a manual release system.
How are aisles selected and opened?
There are three common methods to select the aisle where access is needed:

- Forklift mounted RF (radio frequency) remote control
- Control panel at the end of each aisle

Yes, the FLEXSPACE Mobile Racking System is well-suited for high-density, cold storage environments and operates in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can multiple working aisles be opened simultaneously?
Every zone has its own access aisle to access products, multiple access aisles can be opened simultaneously.
Are specialized forklifts required with the FLEXSPACE Mobile Racking System?
Specialized forklifts are not required for the FLEXSPACE Mobile Racking System. Standard front-loading forklifts commonly used in warehouses can operate with Mobile Racking, including counterbalanced forklifts, reach trucks, and narrow aisle forklifts.
